How long does a professional headshot session take?
Session length depends on the type of booking. Custom headshot or personal branding sessions take up to 2 hours. Mini sessions typically last 30–45 minutes. Professional hair and makeup are always included for ladies and are scheduled in addition to the photography time.
How many images will I receive?
For custom sessions, you can purchase a minimum of 10 images. For mini sessions, the minimum is 2 images. In addition to the digital images, we also offer print products and wall art so you can showcase your headshots in any format you like.
What should I wear to my headshot session?
We recommend solid colours that complement your skin tone, and clothing that reflects your professional brand. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, and anything you would not wear to an important meeting. We provide a full wardrobe guide when you book, and Amanda is happy to advise during your style and concept consultation.
Will my images look natural or over-retouched?
Every image is hand-retouched by Amanda to enhance your best features, never to alter them. The result is a polished, professional photograph that looks unmistakably like you, only at your absolute best. Skin retouching is subtle and tasteful.
How long until I receive my finished images?
Final images are typically delivered within 7–10 business days, depending on the number of images you purchase. If you have a specific deadline or need your images sooner, don’t hesitate to let us know, we may be able to accommodate a rush delivery.
Can I bring more than one outfit?
Absolutely. We encourage it. Multiple outfits give you versatile options for different contexts (LinkedIn, website, press releases, etc.). We suggest bringing 2 to 4 complete looks to maximise the variety from your session.
Is your studio located in Calgary?
Yes. Our studio is located at 822 11 Ave SW #203, in the heart of Calgary, AB. There is street parking nearby and the studio is easily accessible from all areas of the city.
Do you offer headshots outside of the studio?
Yes! For custom and branding sessions, we can shoot outdoors, or create a mix of outdoor, on-location, and studio shots, depending on your preferences and goals. This flexibility allows us to capture a variety of looks that best represent you or your brand.
