Every family session includes professional hair and makeup for one adult. You arrive, relax, and let our team handle the finishing touches so you feel polished, natural, and completely camera-ready before your session begins.
When you feel confident, it transforms the entire session. You are free to focus on what actually matters: laughing with your kids, holding your partner close, and being fully present for the moments we are there to capture.
Additional hair and makeup for other family members is available upon request. The goal is a stress-free, enjoyable experience from the moment you walk through the door.
Discovery Call
Every family session begins with a complimentary discovery call. We take the time to learn about your family, understand your vision, and guide you to the session type that fits you best, whether that is in-home, outdoor, or in the studio.
This is where we start building the relationship, answer all your questions, and ensure you feel confident about every step ahead.
Style & Concept Consultation
Amanda visits your home for an in-person consultation to discuss wardrobe options, plan the session in detail, and see the spaces where your finished wall art will live.
This is where we get to know each other, talk about what matters most to your family, and ensure every detail is planned so your session day is relaxed and enjoyable.
The Photoshoot
Whether we are in your home, at a beautiful outdoor location, or in the studio, the session is designed around your family. Amanda guides every moment with patience and genuine warmth, drawing out the natural connections and real laughter that make your images extraordinary.
Professional hair and makeup is included, outfit changes are welcome, and the entire experience is crafted to feel fun and natural for everyone, especially the little ones.
Ordering Appointment
Approximately two weeks after your session, you will return to the studio for a private viewing of your full gallery on a large screen. Amanda will walk you through every image and help you select the portraits that speak to your heart.
You will choose from a curated collection of handmade frames, flush-mount albums, and museum-quality wall art. Every product is crafted by artisan labs to the highest standard.
Gallery Delivery
Your finished products are delivered with care, and Amanda offers a complimentary in-home installation service for all wall art orders. She ensures every piece is hung perfectly, transforming your family portraits into a gallery-quality display in your home.
Matching high-resolution digital images are included with every product order, giving you both the heirloom print and the digital file for sharing with family and friends.

How long is a family photography session?
Family photography sessions typically last 1 to 2 hours, depending on the location, number of people, and any outfit changes. If professional hair and makeup are booked, additional time will be scheduled beforehand to allow everyone to get ready and feel their best for the session.
What should we wear for our family photos?
During your in-home consultation, Amanda will guide you through wardrobe selection in detail. The goal is coordinated (not matching) outfits that complement each other and the location. We consider colour palettes, textures, and personal style to create a cohesive, polished look.
How do you handle young children and babies during the session?
Amanda has 16 years of experience photographing families with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. She is patient, playful, and knows exactly how to draw out genuine smiles and natural moments. Snack breaks, play breaks, and nap breaks are all welcome.
Can we bring our pets to the session?
Pets are family too. We welcome dogs, cats, and other well-behaved companions in both outdoor and studio sessions. Amanda will work with your pet's personality and energy level to capture natural, joyful moments.
How many final images will we receive?
The number of final images depends on your chosen collection. During your View & Order appointment, you will see your full gallery and select the ones that speak to you most. Collections start from 10 images, with most clients typically choosing 25–60 images.
How does the ordering process work?
After your session, we schedule a private View & Order appointment at the studio. You will see your full gallery on a large screen, select your favourite images, and choose from a curated collection of handmade frames, albums, and wall art. Every product is crafted to museum-quality standards.
